The 17th VOBA  K.P. Jadhav Football tournament:

The tournament was inaugurated on 27.09.11. Matches were held daily at Vincent’s & Kirkee Rangehills’ grounds. The Finals & Prize Distribution were held on 31.10.11. In the Snr Div Pune F.C-A won, while the runners up were D.S.K Shivajians -A.  In the Jnr Div Sukhai  won, while the runners up were Chetak F.C-B. In the ladies tournament Go Sports won while the runners up were Vidya Bhavan College.

Other Activties:

The VOBA Book awards were given to meritorious students of Std X and Std XII during the annual prize distribution day organized by the school.

VOBA EC  members participated in the (St Vincent de Paul) School Feast Day celebrations held by the school at Gulati Hall on 27.09.11.

VOBA hosted the West Zone Governing Council meet held on 25.09.11 at the Barco Hall. GC members and Principals of some schools in Gujarat, Mumbai, Goa & Pune attended.

The Jesuit Education Coordinators held their annual meet at Sanjeevan Ashram, Dhole Patil Road on 01.11.11. Fr. Nobert Menezes (National Jesuit Alumni advisor) invited Mr. Bobby Jacob (VOBA President) to address them. The Jesuit Provisional of South Asia (POSA) Fr.Edward Mudavassery was also present on the occasion.

Forth coming events

An  VOBA alumni team is attending the Pune Province meet hosted by St. Xavier’s High School, Kolhapur on  10.12.11. All alumni are eligible to attend.

VOBA will give Christmas Hampers to the families of students identified by the school management in the 3^rd week of December.

The VOBA Dawn to Dusk Basketball  Tournament is planned for Thur, 26^th Jan 2012. All are encouraged to come and cheer the teams. VOBA will also have a team playing.

As part of the national Jesuit Alumni initiative a Blood Donation drive is also planned from 9 to 12 noon on 26^th Jan 2012 and all alumni, parents and teachers are encouraged to donate blood.
